GREEN CEMETERY

Remembrance Park will be the first completely natural burial ground in Maryland. The mission of this green cemetery is to restore our relationship with the natural cycle of life, death, and renewal - so that people may live conscious and purposeful lives. The architectural design draws on the Prairie Style with natural materials and colors, wide roof overhangs, and outdoor rooms and courtyards to integrate the building with this beautiful park. The design will be driven by the function of this building as well as with the goals/culture of the green cemetery movement. As we move-ahead we intend to incorporate as much solar and passive technology as possible in the project.
